For all those of you whom are traveling this thanksgiving weekend, you must be sure to plan accordingly. If you are traveling outside an hour drive radius, you must plan for the unexpected.
Check for the following:
Weather: Be prepared for the possible conditions such as: rain, snow or wind. Regardless of your form of transportation: air, train or bus; the weather will influence how much enjoyment or grief you can expect during your travels.
If you have young children/babies: Make sure you have all of their necessities before you leave. You do not want to be on the road and forget your youngest child’s favorite snuggle “blankie” that they cannot live without.
If you are traveling with sick or elderly people: Do not forget to take their medicine and other personal items so they can be comfortable and content during their travels. You might want to take a little extra medication in case you are stuck a few extra day(s) due to bad weather.
During this time of gathering and season for compassion, let us not forget those that are not able to travel to their loved ones. Many people are home alone or have no family to celebrate with during this season. Also, let us not forget those that might not have the ability to make a Thanksgiving for their families. At Fist Care of New York we would like to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
